Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities across Northeast Pennsylvania. Established in 1973, our mission is to empower those we serve through meaningful programs that promote independence, inclusion, and self-advocacy.

Summary

We are seeking a Finance Clerk to join our team at HRC. This role will be essential in managing financial records and ensuring accurate accounting practices. The Finance Clerk will contribute to our mission by maintaining financial integrity and supporting the overall operations of our nonprofit.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.

Maintain financial records using various financial software systems.

Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures.

Support the preparation of financial reports for management review.

Assist with tax-related documentation and compliance as needed.

Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

Minimum of Associate degree in Business or Accounting.

Proven experience in corporate accounting or finance roles.

Strong background working with Excel.

Preferred experience working with Behavioral Health Intellectual Disabilities ( BHID) accounts, but not required

Familiarity with financial software and systems like Great Plains Accounting and Setworks

Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and journal entries.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
