Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C / FNP-BC) Jobs in Atlanta, GA at Elios Healthcare

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C / FNP-BC)

Atlanta, GA | Full-Time

Serving the Underserved Population

We are hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner for a well-established, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center serving metro Atlanta and the surrounding counties. This organization has delivered primary care in the same communities for five decades, and it has never turned a patient away over insurance status or ability to pay.

That is not a tagline. It is the operating model, backed by a sliding fee scale, a care team built around the patient, and a leadership group that measures itself on outcomes in neighborhoods other systems drive past.

About the Organization

  • A non-profit FQHC
  • A network of health centers, school-based health centers, and mobile medical and dental units across the Atlanta metro and neighboring counties
  • Tens of thousands of patient visits each year across primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, and behavioral health
  • Joint Commission accredited for more than two decades
  • NCQA Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home
  • National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site
  • Title X family planning services provider

You will not be practicing alone. Behavioral health, pediatric dentistry, pharmacy, laboratory, vision, care coordination, nutrition counseling, and enrollment assistance sit under the same roof. Referrals happen down the hall, not across town.

What You Will Do

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, from adolescents through seniors
  • Perform physical exams, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret diagnostics, and prescribe treatment within your scope
  • Manage chronic disease panels including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, and hyperlipidemia
  • Deliver preventive care and health maintenance: immunizations, cancer screenings, wellness visits, and patient education
  • Provide women’s health and family planning services, including contraceptive counseling and STI screening and treatment
  • Offer HIV testing, PrEP, and linkage to care
  • Coordinate with behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and care management colleagues in an integrated model
  • Document accurately and completely in the EHR, and support quality reporting and UDS measures
  • Participate in the PCMH care team model and contribute to quality improvement work
  • See patients through telehealth in addition to in-person visits
  • Support school-based or mobile unit coverage as scheduling allows (optional, and a strong fit for NPs who want community-facing work)

What You Bring

Required

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted Georgia RN and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure, or eligibility to obtain before start
  • Georgia Nurse Protocol Agreement eligibility and DEA registration, or willingness to obtain
  • Current BLS certification
  • Comfort managing a full-spectrum family practice panel with a high degree of autonomy

Preferred

  • Experience with PCMH workflows, UDS reporting, or HEDIS quality measures
  • Background in women’s health, family planning, or HIV care
  • New graduates with strong community health clinical rotations are encouraged to apply

Why Clinicians Stay Here

  • Loan repayment. As an NHSC approved site, this organization’s clinicians may be eligible to apply for NHSC Loan Repayment Program awards. For many NPs, this is worth more than a higher salary somewhere else.
  • A real medical home. NCQA Level 3 PCMH recognition and Joint Commission accreditation mean the systems around you actually work. Mission-driven does not have to mean under-resourced.
  • Continuity you can feel. Patients come back. Families come back. You will follow the same people for years and see what your care changed.
  • Scope, not silos. Full-spectrum family practice with integrated behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy support, plus school-based and mobile care if you want it.
  • Staying power. Five decades in the same communities, through every funding cycle and policy shift. This is not a pilot program.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience, licensure, and certification
  • Potential eligibility for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • CME allowance and support toward license and certification renewal
  • Malpractice coverage under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)

Location and Schedule

Atlanta, Georgia. Full-time, primarily weekday clinic hours with some after-hours coverage shared across the provider team. This is an on-site clinical role with telehealth included in the visit mix.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Vision insurance
