Touching Miami with Love (TML), a nonprofit faith based (Christian) organization serving Overtown, looking to hire for full time individual with experience providing parenting programs.
Job Summary Statement
The Facility and Van Driver is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, organized, and program-ready facilities while providing reliable and safe transportation for youth, staff, and supplies. This position supports daily operations by identifying facility concerns, completing minor maintenance tasks, preparing program spaces, maintaining vehicles, and following all TML safety and transportation procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Operations
- Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to ensure all indoor and outdoor areas are clean, safe, organized, and ready for programming.
- Report maintenance, safety, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and security concerns immediately.
- Complete minor facility tasks and assist with room setup and breakdown.
- Organize storage areas, equipment, supplies, and program materials.
- Support facility opening, closing, inventory, repairs, and vendor coordination as assigned.
Transportation & Van Operations
- Safely transport youth, staff, supplies, and authorized passengers to approved locations and activities.
- Follow all traffic laws, TML procedures, transportation schedules, and youth-safety requirements.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate mileage, passenger, and vehicle-use logs.
- Keep vehicles clean, fueled, organized, and ready for operation.
- Report accidents, damage, mechanical issues, delays, or route concerns immediately.
- Ensure passengers follow safety expectations and verify that no one remains in the vehicle after each trip.
- Assist with loading and unloading food, equipment, supplies, and program materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required background and driving-record checks.
- Basic maintenance and cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Available to work flexible hours when needed.
- Must work well with youth, staff, and community members.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
