**Facilities Assistant** **Location:** Albuquerque, NM **Hours:** 32 hours per week **About Us:** Southwest Mothers’ Milk Bank (SWMMB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, high-quality donor human milk to premature, medically fragile, and sick infants. We utilize evidence-based methods to process and distribute donor milk in strict adherence to the guidelines set by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA). Our mission is to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community—infants in need of life-saving nourishment—have access to the highest standard of donor milk, empowering families during their most challenging times. Learn more at [swmilkbank.org](https://swmilkbank.org/about-us). **Position Summary:** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Facilities Assistant** to join our team. This role supports both the physical upkeep of our facility and critical operations within our milk processing workflows. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be comfortable following strict protocols, and understand the importance of sanitation and accuracy in a health-focused environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laboratories, offices, and common areas according to established protocols. * Wash dishes, kitchenware, and lab equipment. * Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and minor repairs). * Monitor and restock cleaning supplies; notify supervisor when inventory is low. * Handle raw and processed donor human milk in accordance with safety and sanitation procedures. * Receive and document intake of raw donor milk. * Prepare, label, and pack donor milk orders for distribution to hospitals and families. * Maintain compliance with all safety and sanitation guidelines, including those set by HMBANA. * Support other operational and facility needs as assigned. **Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in facilities maintenance, food handling, or healthcare environments preferred. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently. * Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness. * Comfortable working in a highly regulated, sterile environment. * Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. * Reliable, punctual, and mission-driven. **To Apply:** Please submit your resume and cover letter to [email].
