The Global AntibioticResearch and DevelopmentPartnership (GARDP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing and delivering new treatments for drug-resistant infections that pose a threat to global public health. Founded by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), GARDP works incollaborationwith partners worldwide to ensure equitable access toinnovativeantibiotic treatments.

GARDP is seeking adynamicand experienced resource mobilisation manager with established experience in growing partnerships with the private sector. The ideal candidate will have aproven track recordin private sector fundraising, particularly within corporate and foundation environments. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional networking abilities, and a solid understanding of global health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising strategy development:
– Develop and implement a targeted and realistic fundraising strategy aimed at corporate entities and philanthropic foundations.
– Identify new fundraising opportunities in GARDP donor markets andinnovativeapproaches to maximize revenue generation.

Relationship management:
– Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential private donors, including corporations, foundations, and philanthropic entities.
– Oversee key private funding partnerships, providing reporting and other contractual requirements.
– Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of fundraising initiatives with GARDP’s mission and objectives.

Proposal development:
– Prepare compelling funding proposals and presentations tailored to the interests and priorities of prospective donors.
– Collaborate with external relations and programmatic colleagues to use existing networks, identify new prospects and integrate donor requirements into project proposals and funding requests.

Reporting and compliance:
– Monitor fundraising activities and progress against targets, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
– Provide regular updates tosenior managementon fundraising performance and strategy implementation.

Networking and outreach:
– Represent GARDP at international conferences, donor meetings, and networking events.
– Expand GARDP’s network within the global health and pharmaceutical sectors to enhance fundraising opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

– At least 10 years of experience in private sector fundraising, with aproven track recordof raising significant funding from corporations and foundations.

– Established network of contacts within the philanthropic and corporate communities, preferably including the pharmaceutical industry.

– Strong understanding of global health challenges, particularly in the context of infectious diseases.

– Excellentcommunicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively withdiversestakeholders.

– Master’s degree in business administration, international relations, public health, or a related field is preferred.

Working Conditions

– This position is based in Europe, with regular travel to GARDP offices in Geneva, Switzerland and some travel required internationally.
