About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Development to lead and manage a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s fundraising portfolio, including local board and executive volunteer leadership, corporate partnerships, peer-to-peer, and individual giving. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in non-profit management, particularly in the areas of fundraising and leadership.
The Executive Director will be tasked with raising a significant annual amount and must be adept at building and managing a successful staff team, as well as establishing and nurturing effective partnerships within the community. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 8-10 years’ experience in non-profit management. The role requires a candidate with established success in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
The ideal candidate will be outcome-driven, with a strong market and community perspective, and proficient in computer-based information systems. Responsibilities also include positioning the organization as a leader in diabetes prevention and management, developing strategic partnerships, and creating an advocacy strategy. The role is remote, but the individual must reside within 50 miles of the designated market to attend in-person meetings and events.
