Executive Director Jobs in Columbus, Ohio, USA at Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed
The Friends of the Lower Olentangy (FLOW) are seeking a full-time contractor to develop a deep knowledge of our field, core programs, operations, and business plans while maintaining day-to-day operations and administrative functions. Office support will be needed for member communications (mail, email, phone, web, and social media). Service event support includes litter cleanups, invasive species removals, tree plantings, among other activities.
This position is essential in assisting with fundraising, community outreach, and community involvement in our service events. Strong writing and verbal skills are required. Knowledge and/or experience with watersheds are preferred. The successful applicant will also help FLOW coordinate stories for our monthly newsletters, update Facebook and Instagram, and maintain member databases.
Qualifications
Experience managing non-profits is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is beneficial but not required.
A driver’s license and access to a car for attending service events are essential.
Successful fundraising and development experience.
Experience with outdoor activities and ability to lift 50 pounds.
Strong organizational skills to plan and implement projects.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Sites, Gmail, etc.
