Are you passionate about mental health advocacy and making a lasting impact in our community? NAMI Linn County seeks a dedicated and dynamic Executive Director to lead us in providing vital support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness.
About the Role
As Executive Director, you work closely with our Board of Directors, volunteers, and community partners to expand the reach and impact of NAMI Linn County, local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to mental health. Your leadership will drive program development, financial sustainability, and public awareness, helping our community to gain support and resources.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and collaborate with the Board of Directors to fulfill our mission
Manage fundraising, including grant writing and donor engagement, to sustain financial health
Oversee and expand community outreach, support groups, and public education initiatives
Prepare agendas, reports, and materials for board meetings
Recruit, train, and support volunteers and program facilitators
Oversee operational efficiency, maintain accurate records, and achieve compliance with NAMI Standards of Excellence
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Preference for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Leadership experience in a nonprofit setting is highly desirable
Skills and Abilities:Â Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills. Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer coordination is a plus
Tech-Savvy:Â Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and social media platforms
