About Us:
The Pacific Stroke Association (PSA) is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing the incidence of stroke through education, support, and advocacy. We provide vital programs for stroke survivors, caregivers, and the broader community, empowering individuals with knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life.
About the Role:
PSA is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to lead the organization with vision, passion, and strategic expertise. This role is an opportunity for a dynamic leader to drive fundraising efforts, expand our impact, and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders. The position is full-time and has the possibility of being fully remote, though Bay Area residency is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Development: Lead and implement fundraising strategies to grow revenue, with a strong emphasis on grants, donor cultivation, and sponsorships.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a vision for the organization’s growth, ensuring alignment with PSA’s mission and goals.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, financial management, and compliance to maintain an efficient and sustainable nonprofit.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with stroke survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, donors, and community partners.
Board Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Directors, providing updates and strategic recommendations to support governance and decision-making.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in securing grants, major gifts, and sponsorships.
Experience leading a nonprofit or similar organization, with strong financial and operational acumen.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Passion for PSA’s mission and a commitment to serving stroke survivors and their families.
Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or related fields is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
