About ReUse Systems Inc.
ReUse Systems Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing landfill waste by extending the life of usable materials. We are launching a community reuse center featuring donated goods, deconstruction materials, workshops, fix-it clinics, and other sustainability initiatives.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and mission-driven Executive Director to lead our growing nonprofit. This is an exciting opportunity to build and manage a community reuse organization from the ground up, including establishing a retail reuse center, developing partnerships, fundraising, and overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s operations and strategic growth.
- Secure grants, donations, and other funding sources.
- Maintain financial and administrative systems.
- Identify and establish a permanent retail location.
- Recruit, supervise, and support staff and volunteers as the organization grows.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and local governments.
- Lead marketing, outreach, and public engagement.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Nonprofit leadership experience.
- Successful fundraising and grant writing experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Passion for sustainability and reuse.
- Ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced organization.
- Retail or warehouse management experience is a plus.
