About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Foundation, a key role focused on growing revenue from donations and grants to support the mission of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic and financial leadership, including setting and managing the Foundation’s annual operating budget and revenue plan. This role requires the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-year development strategy, with a strong emphasis on major gifts and building new sources of unrestricted funding.
The Executive Director will also be involved in donor relationship management, event planning, and execution, and will work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective communication and storytelling around the Foundation’s events and the impact of donor support on athletes. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a nonprofit or relevant organization, and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in securing philanthropic gifts from major donors.
A background in the sport of cycling, as a rider, racer, coach, or active industry participant, is essential to demonstrate a shared passion and understanding of the community. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and have the ability to build positive, professional relationships. A can-do attitude, creativity in overcoming resource limitations, and a willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays, are also required.
