The Board of Directors for Family and Early Childhood Anglophone East Inc. is seeking a new Executive Director to replace the retiring current Director. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to lead the organization in delivering high-quality programs supporting at-risk children aged 0 to 8 and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development, nonprofit management, and community engagement.
This role requires a visionary leader capable of inspiring staff, collaborating with community partners, and advocating for children and families’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Design, implement, and evaluate programs and services
Ensure alignment with provincial guidelines and best practices in early childhood development
Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of professionals
Foster a positive organizational culture
Encourage collaboration, innovation, and professional growth
Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families
Represent the organization at community events and advocate for at-risk children and their families
Resource Development:
Manage program budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and compliance with funding requirements
Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for the Board of Directors
Ensure current risk management policies and procedures
Work with the Board of Directors as employer
Advocacy and Policy Development:
Stay informed about policies affecting children and families at local, provincial, and national levels
Advocate for policies supporting at-risk populations
Qualifications:
Masters or Undergraduate Degree in early childhood education, social work, public administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in nonprofit management, program development, or related field with early childhood services background
Strong understanding of challenges faced by at-risk children and families and best practices in early childhood development
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals
