The Executive Director/CEO is responsible for ensuring the organization fulfills its mission, vision, and strategic objectives. This role involves overall leadership in financial management, operational efficiency, program success, and organizational growth. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and staff leadership to guide strategic planning and maintain high performance across departments.
Duties
Financial & Fund Development
Develop and uphold sound fiscal policies aligned with strategic objectives.
Oversee preparation and administration of the annual budget in coordination with the Board Finance Committee.
Ensure financial sustainability through grants, fundraising efforts, and diverse revenue sources.
Manage grant compliance, financial reports, and donor relations.
Lead fundraising initiatives, including signature annual events.
Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight
Execute long-term strategic plans in collaboration with leadership and the Board.
Ensure organizational compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Expand and improve programming to address community needs effectively.
Human Resources & Staff Development
Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and performance evaluation processes.
Cultivate an inclusive, supportive work culture.
Provide guidance and supervision to senior staff.
Ensure HR policy compliance with relevant employment regulations.
Board Governance
Partner with the Board of Directors on policy development and strategic initiatives.
Provide regular updates on financial, operational, and programmatic matters.
Support Board development through recruitment and training efforts.
Align operations with Board decisions and guidance.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
Act as the organization’s primary representative and spokesperson.
Foster relationships with community stakeholders at multiple levels.
Promote and uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all activities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (preferred).
Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit or comparable fields.
Proficiency in human resources, financial administration, and program management.
Strong abilities in communication, organization, and strategic planning.
Technological competency, including Microsoft Office and relevant tools.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, a vehicle, and insurance coverage.
