ORGANIZATION:

The Native Alliance Against Violence (NAAV) is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) as Oklahoma’s only tribal coalition against domestic and sexual violence serving the federally recognized tribes in Oklahoma and their tribal domestic and sexual violence programs. The NAAV is also an OVW national training and technical assistance provider.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position provides administrative support to the NAAV Executive Director and organization staff. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Answering telephone and greeting guests of the NAAV;

Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable;

Coordinating/distributing incoming and outgoing mail, email, faxes and correspondence;

Overseeing organization inventory and office supplies;

Arranging travel and accommodations of NAAV staff, board, contractors, and programs;

Organizing and maintaining calendars and making appointments;

Producing documents, minutes, meeting notes and summary reports as requested;

Assisting Executive Director with grant programmatic and financial reports as requested;

Carrying out specific projects and research as requested;

Assisting in the scheduling, coordination and facilitation of NAAV meetings and activities;

Overseeing the NAAV motor pool including scheduling vehicle maintenance;

Liaising with board members, member programs, contractors and;

Attending meetings, trainings, conference as may be requested and/or;

Other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, powerpoint;

Must have excellent organizational skills and written and oral communication skills;

Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’ license, and be willing to travel independently within the state of Oklahoma and nationally as may be required; and

Must be willing to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Advance consideration will be given to applicants with knowledge of the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence, familiarity of Tribal communities and working with Native people, experience with QuickBooks, and experience working with/for nonprofit organizations with federal grant funding.
