Our client, a highly regarded nonprofit organization in Arlington, VA is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented TEMP-TO-HIREExecutive Assistant to support the President of a small, dynamic team. Position Overview
The Executive Assistant will serve as the right hand to the President, acting as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders. This individual will manage complex scheduling, board communications, executive correspondence, and special projects. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with impeccable organizational skills and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the President’s office, including calendar management, email correspondence, and meeting preparation.
Act as board liaison, coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes, and board communications.
Draft and edit emails, presentations, and talking points on behalf of the President.
Facilitate internal and external communications, often with senior- and executive-level contacts.
Support cross-functional coordination between the President’s office and program staff.
Maintain the President’s contact database and communication history via CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Pardot.
Oversee or contribute to special projects as assigned.
Provide occasional backup support to office administration functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in executive-level support, administration, or nonprofit operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce and Adobe Acrobat a plus.
Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively.
Prior experience in nonprofit, communications, or board relations is desirable.
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: 3–4 days onsite per week in Arlington, VA.
