About the Role
The Executive Assistant is responsible for organizing the Executive Director’s calendar.
This role calls for equal parts operational rigor and relational intuition. The ideal candidate is someone who understands that scheduling is both an art and a science and finds joy in thinking about ways to make the seemingly impossible possible. For the right person, this role feels like a natural expression of who you are.
What You’ll Own
- Manage high-volume, complex calendaring
- Ensure meeting participants are prepared with clear agendas and other relevant context
- Handle scheduling communications with warmth, diplomacy, and precision
- Manage travel logistics including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and itineraries
- Adjust plans in real time to accommodate changing schedules and priorities
- Anticipate scheduling challenges and bring proposed solutions to the executive office team in a proactive and well-considered way

Qualifications
- Alignment with our mission and values
- Experience in managing a high volume, complex calendar as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role (may be open to training someone who has a natural disposition for this type of work with a strong commitment to learning)
- Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to convey warmth while being precise and thorough
- Obsessive attention to detail and organization, with a natural disposition toward checklists, systems, and keeping good order
- Responsive and comfortable operating with urgency
- Willingness to work flexible, irregular hours, including evenings and weekends to facilitate team collaboration and address timely scheduling needs
Location
- Full-time role based out of Asheville, NC
- A flexible, hybrid work schedule is supported; however, candidates must be local or willing to relocate, with the ability to be on-site regularly

Compensation & Benefits
- The starting compensation is competitive and will depend on a variety of factors that include experience, education, training, certification, and location. We do not currently cap salary ranges because we value team members growing in their roles over time.
