United Way of Tarrant County (UWTC) is searching for our next EVP and Chief Impact Officer (Chief Impact Officer) to continue our work in our Second Century of serving the people of Tarrant County. UWTC is seeking adynamicleader who can lead the strategic investment of UWTC’s financial and non-financial resources to create the greatest possible impact in helping improve outcomes for individuals and families and achieving community-level change.

UWTC brings people together to build strong communities where everyone thrives. As a nonprofit leader, we help communities tackle tough challenges and work with private, public, and nonprofit partners to boosteducation,financial stability, and health resources. We also serve as the regional grantee for Tarrant County’s Area Agency on Aging (AAA), invest in and maintain a cooperative relationship with the state’s 2-1-1 call center and provide support to local veterans, active military personnel and their families through our partnership with the Texas Veterans Network.

United Way of Tarrant County and AAA employ approximately 80 people dedicated to our mission. We celebrated our 100th anniversary in 2022 and are ready to serve Tarrant County for years to come.

Position Summary:

The EVP and Chief Impact Officer is responsible for leading the strategic investment of United Way of Tarrant County’s (UWTC) financial and non-financial resources to create the greatest possible impact in helping improve outcomes for individuals and families and achieving community-level change. The Chief Impact Officer providesleadership,strategic vision, and direction to the organization in the areas of community outreach, allocations, volunteer engagement, regional offices and efforts, and program supervision.

Essential to this work is developing and adopting community-wide goals and implementing a strategic and cohesive plan for impact to make progress on these goals, all based on an understanding of community needs, an awareness of community resources, a knowledge of local and national best practice strategies (financial,advocacy, volunteer, other), leveraging and aligning UWTC’s unique strengths and abilities to support the strategies, engaging in relationships and partnerships, and measuring results.

The Chief Impact Officer leads the CI-Programs Team and is a member of and works closely with the organization’s Executive Team to align programs with the organization’s strategy, vision, and mission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

5-8 direct reports. The Chief Impact Officer also oversees all personnel responsible for program delivery within the Community Investment-Programs department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate all aspects of identifying and adopting community-wide goals for equitable andinnovativeprogram delivery.

Coordinate implementation of allcommunity impactstrategies, including investments, collective impact, volunteerism and public policy andadvocacy, to make progress on community-wide goals.

Collaborate with theLeadershipTeam to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key volunteers.

Recruit, develop and manage a high-level volunteer Community Investment Cabinet.

Collaborate with the EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer to manage the staffing levels and workload distribution for the team, including personnel recruitment, management, development,recognition, and retention.
