About The Record Co.

We’re Boston’s nonprofit music workspace dedicated to making professional recording accessible to all musicians. Our 12,500-square-foot facility at 960 Mass Ave provides affordable studios, rehearsal spaces, and resources that support our diverse music community.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll lead our events programming and strategic partnerships while managing our partnership budget. This role connects Boston’s music ecosystem through impactful events and collaborations that advance our mission of accessibility and community support.

Essential Responsibilities

Events & Programming (35%)

Design and implement our community events calendar

Manage event budgets, logistics, and execution

Build vendor and partner relationships

Lead event marketing and promotion efforts

Track event metrics and community impact

Partnership Development & Management (35%)

Cultivate relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and corporate partners

Oversee partnership budget and grant allocations

Identify and secure new partnership opportunities

Maintain partner database and reporting systems

Support grant applications with impact data

Financial Management (20%)

Manage monthly partnership budget reconciliation

Process partner payments and track expenses

Support financial reporting processes

Monitor partnership revenue and sustainability

Identify new funding sources for partnership activities

Community Engagement (10%)

Represent TRC at industry and community events

Lead partner meetings and collaborative discussions

Gather community feedback to shape programs

Support outreach to expand community impact

Document partnership outcomes and success stories

Required Qualifications

3+ years event management experience

Strong partnership development track record

Budget management experience

Project coordination expertise

Experience with CRM systems and financial tools

Proficiency with Google Workspace

Monthly financial process experience

Working Environment

Full-time position at 960 Mass Ave

Core hours: Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6 PM

Some evening/weekend hours for events

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000
