Position
Scope and Responsibilities
- Assist events team with formulation and fulfillment on all GOPAC Network events.
- Work with the events team to monitor timelines and deadlines related to all aspects of events, ensuring the information is communicated with staff, volunteers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in development of programming for events including speakers, topics, and timing; communicate with speakers regarding their commitment to the event and their needs related to attending the event (i.e. A/V, travel, reimbursement, handouts, bios, video release forms, etc.).
- Maintain database and registration documents to ensure accurate event data.
- Assist in arranging travel and lodging logistics for event attendees; assist with the reimbursement and budgeting process before and after events.
- Assist in event follow‑up with thank‑you letters to speakers, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers as directed by the Director of State Programming.
- Prepare packaging and shipping of materials needed for events and ensure their prompt arrival.
- Work with appropriate staff to evaluate all events.
Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; extreme professionalism and confidence to liaise with elected leaders, investors, and stakeholders.
- Meticulously detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Motivated to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as a member of a dynamic team.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel, as dictated by the events schedule.
Compensation
The anticipated compensation range is $60,000–$70,000. Employee benefits include performance bonuses, health insurance, paid time off, paid federal holidays, commuter benefits, and scholarships for continuing education.
