The Events and Engagement Manager will be an integral part of the Development and Marketing team, focusing on event planning and execution and community building efforts that support the advancement of the organization. This position will engage in all levels of event planning and management in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Events and manage critical external relationships with the Junior Board and supporters raising funds on behalf of the organization. A successful candidate has a passion and aptitude for fundraising and will bring a balance of detail-oriented event planning and creative problem solving to the role.
Event Management – Fundraising (60%)
Support Director of Marketing and Events with planning scope and needs for events
Support Program team in logistics and day-of support for large-scale events
Manage budget and planning calendars
Manage invoicing of event sponsors and donors
Coordinate event meetings; manage progress reports
Coordinate volunteer recruiting and scheduling, day-of management
Coordinate in-kind donations for event-related needs
Track auction, raffle, games during planning and day-of
Support recruitment of sponsors, guests and participants
Community Fundraising Program Management (20%)
Support the efforts of community members running fundraisers that benefit Tuesday’s Children
Actively innovate community fundraising program expansion
Manage peer-to-peer fundraising platform and support external users
Coordinate materials, graphics, guest speakers, etc, needed at community fundraisers
Collaborate with Finance team to reconcile revenue
Junior Board Management (20%)
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of Junior Board to support organization’s mission
Managing membership requirements for current members
Conduct regular meetings in conjunction with the co-chairs
Guide junior board in organizing events and fundraisers
Facilitate participation in organization’s core activities as volunteers, ambassadors and supporters
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of relevant experience in a nonprofit fundraising environment
Experience in event planning and management, particularly with a fundraising focus
Experience in leading community engagement activities
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Goal-oriented and proactive, problem-solving mindset
Proficiency in Bloomerang (or similar CRM) and online fundraising tools
