About the Role

The Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of all Chamber events. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills, a passion for high-quality event experiences, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Coordination

Plan and manage monthly breakfasts, business socials, trustee luncheons, and special programs from concept to completion

Coordinate with venues, vendors, and internal teams to confirm dates, contracts, logistics, and event details

Develop timelines and run-of-show documents to ensure a seamless experience for all participants

Support program development by collaborating with Chamber leadership to identify speakers and confirm program content

Sponsorship and Partner Relations

Assist in identifying and securing event sponsors in coordination with the leadership team

Manage sponsor deliverables including branding, speaking opportunities, and marketing assets in collaboration with Chamber Leadership.

Maintain clear communication with sponsors before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction and future partnership opportunities

Event Logistics and On-Site Management

Coordinate all event logistics including AV, signage, catering, registration, and setup

Prepare event materials such as name tags, signage, programs, and guest lists

Lead on-site setup and breakdown, ensuring all components are in place and events run smoothly

Manage volunteers and event staff to support guest check-in, sponsor support, and general coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting on-site needs

Post-Event Engagement

Coordinate post-event thank-you communication with sponsors, speakers, and attendees

Support marketing and communications by sharing event highlights, photos, and success metrics

Lead internal debriefs and identify areas for improvement for future events

Qualifications

2–3 years of event planning experience, preferably in a nonprofit, corporate, or hospitality setting

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience working with high-level stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (GrowthZone/ChamberMaster preferred)

Comfortable with early mornings and occasional evening work

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
