Special Strong Champions Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is hiring a
part-time, seasonal, project-based Event Coordinator
to lead the planning and execution of the 2025
Special Strong Games
—a signature athletic event for individuals with special needs.
Hours:
Flexible, 10–20 hours per week
Location:
Remote or local (DFW-based preferred)
Required Availability:
Must attend the
Special Strong Games on September 27th, 2025, in DFW, Texas
(travel expenses covered)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all planning and coordination for the Special Strong Games
Host team meetings with staff, volunteers, and partners
Secure donations, sponsors, and volunteers
Find and secure the event venue
Manage athlete and volunteer registration and communication
Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Provide regular progress updates
Create and manage the live event run-of-show
Coordinate vendors and logistics
Serve as the event’s live host with energy and professionalism
Support other nonprofit event needs as assigned
Compensation:
Project-based pay with bonus opportunities tied to the event’s success.
