The Events Coordinator provides operational support for onboarding programmes. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can operationalise processes, remain calm under pressure, and has a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service. They will demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, motivation, and a positive attitude.

This person will be highly organised, efficient, composed, and capable of thriving in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, while also being adaptable to rapidly evolving requirements. The role will focus on enhancing the new hire experience throughout the onboarding journey. Daily responsibilities will include pre-start processes and on-site event support.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of end-to-end logistics for FTE orientation or engineering bootcamp programmes

Ensuring events run smoothly, with full administrative and operational support

Providing high-level customer service to presenters, attendees, and stakeholders

Managing pre-event logistics, including liaising with suppliers and coordinating setup

Engaging with senior leaders and directors during orientation events

Acting as a subject matter expert during events to answer questions and support attendees

Event setup, takedown, preparation, and inventory management

Managing attendees ranging from 40 to 200 people

Supporting both short-term (2-day) and extended (5-day) training attendees

Supporting light change management projects such as quarterly scheduling

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Comfortable learning new tools and becoming a subject matter expert

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Experience in project management and process improvement

Strong time management and attention to detail

Ability to multitask across concurrent projects

Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting

Confident in public speaking and presenting at large-scale events

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in employee onboarding or new hire experience

Event coordination experience

Experience with Salesforce and LMS (Learning Management Systems)

Bachelor’s degree
