Position Summary
Wings of Hope is seeking a creative, dedicated, and compassionate Event & Outreach Coordinator to plan, curate, and execute impactful fundraising events and free programmatic nights and possibly weekend daytime events. The ideal candidate will be skilled in event planning, relationship building, and social media management while generating excitement for organizational initiatives. This role will work closely with the Executive Director to expand community partnerships and increase annual funding.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute all major fundraising events, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and donors.
Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics, including securing venues, coordinating vendors, and overseeing event marketing.
Organize engaging free events bi-monthly that align with Wings of Hope’s mission.
Develop creative event concepts that encourage participation, engagement, and long-term support.
Secure sponsor ships, in-kind donations, and other support for events.
Community Outreach & Engagement
Cultivate relationships with community partners, businesses, and organizations to expand Wings of Hope’s reach.
Represent Wings of Hope at community events, networking functions, and meetings to enhance visibility and foster collaborations.
Assist in managing and growing the organization’s volunteer base to support events and programming efforts.
Marketing & Communications
Work with the team to create compelling promotional materials for events and outreach efforts.
Utilize social media, email campaigns, and community outreach strategies to drive attendance and support.
Develop storytelling opportunities to highlight the impact of Wings of Hope’s mission and donor contributions.
Qualifications & Skills
Passion for nonprofit work, community engagement, and event planning.
2+ years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or related fields.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative event concepts and outreach strategies.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Experience in donor stewardship or fundraising is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management software or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platforms.
Availability to work some evenings and weekends as required for events.
