Full Job Description
PIH Health internal applicants or Altera employees (working at PIH Health as of May 2025), Epic certification in the required application/module must be obtained within 120 days of hire or transfer into the position. Failure to obtain certification within this timeframe may result in removal from the position; however, the employee will be eligible to apply for other internal openings for which they meet the minimum qualifications.
External applicants must possess active Epic certification in the required application/module at the time of hire. Proof of current certification will be required.
The Epic Cogito Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager is responsible for the overall success of analytics and for coordinating analytics tasks across all applications, create analytics content for end users and third parties who require Epic data. Also installs, configures, manages, and monitors your business intelligence applications and the infrastructure for integrating these products with Epic. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Epic Cogito tools, including Radar, SlicerDicer, Caboodle, and Clarity, and a strong background in data governance, team leadership, and BI strategy. This role will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to deliver data-driven insights that enhance patient care, optimize operational performance, and support strategic initiatives.

Leading, coordinating, and facilitating effective meetings
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with reporting and database terminology
Familiarity with Windows Server operating system – installing apps and troubleshooting
Required Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Healthcare Administration
Preferred:
Experience with epic ambulatory EHR and Epic Cogito tools (clarity, caboodle, slicer-dicer, reporting workbench)
Cogito Project Manager training track
Cogito Tools Administration if this role will be the primary or secondary person responsible for system maintenance of Cogito
