Company Description

The Enrollment Coordinator serves as the single point of communication for job seekers and WIOA Program staff. The Enrollment Coordinator will have a strong understanding of WIOA eligibility and will need to be a collaborator with strong communication skills. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, reporting to the Program Supervisor.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Enrollment Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the enrollment process for job seekers, ensuring a smooth transition into the program. This is an office-based position enrolling the job seeker through our enrollment platform. Additional assistance may be needed for people with low computer experience.

Determine eligibility of participants; conduct outreach and assessment

Utilize virtual intake software to communicate with job seekers and obtain verification for eligibility, enrollment, and signatures

Engage participants in meeting program goals through strong presentation and facilitation skills

Maintain relationships with program staff for Adult and Youth services

Maintain case records for each participant, including service needs and activities, according to data-management procedures and funding sources

Conduct group orientation for job seekers and introduce WIOA components such as job search and career readiness workshops

Coordinate assessments throughout the eligibility process

Maintain information about area resources and employers

Take central responsibility for guiding job seekers through the eligibility process, from verification to referral

Ensure all enrollment cases are reviewed and approved by the manager

Schedule review sessions with the manager to improve intake processes

Submit reports and process referrals as required

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in social services or a related field, plus two years of relevant experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer service skills

Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets

Knowledge of and experience with local communities, needs, and resources

Ability to work first shift

Willingness to travel as necessary
