Position: Engagement Coordinator for Community Initiatives
Promote community engagement as an Engagement Coordinator focusing on outreach and event organization. Build lasting partnerships and foster participation in community programs.
You will work closely with the MSAAP team to advance initiatives that support diverse communities. This role emphasizes planning engaging activities, strengthening communication between organizations, and promoting programs that meet the needs of marginalized populations. Your strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be essential in connecting with community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan monthly community clean-up events
• Liaise between communities and organizations
• Support outreach and volunteer initiatives
• Lead community engagement efforts as needed
• Develop culturally appropriate communication materials
Requirements:
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in outreach roles
• Degree in community development or similar field
• Ability to build authentic relationships
• Understanding of social issues facing communities
• Familiarity with Indigenous history and TRC actions
Drive social change through impactful community events, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
