Educating and assisting thepublic with all animal related information including showpresentation school orientations face to face discussion andorganizing of events.
Duties
&Responsibilities:
Zooeducators are responsible for teaching visitors about the animalskept at the zoo and promoting conservationefforts.
Duties
Public Awareness  about conservation Eco systems and Animal Welfare topromote conservation efforts and to enhance flora and faunaprotection. This exchange of information can be conducted formally(in lectures and guided tours) or informally (answeringquestions)
Engage with school andvisitors by providing information about Emirates Park Zoo and itscollection of animals.
Present live animal shows andeducation demonstrations (insitu programs) for the schools andvisitors.
Interact withveterinariansnutritionists Trainerszoo keepers and other zoo staffto keep up to date with the latest happenings at the zoo and itsanimals.
Contributing and conducting exsitu
Educational presentations and exhibitions to increase publicawareness/public knowledge and interesting about flora and fauna byopening floor for them to be a link to conserve animals. (That mayinvolve bringing and handling liveanimals.)Preparing educational materials forpresentations. These items may include posters brochures bannersworkbooks and other handouts.
Handle guest concerns and resolveproblems in a manner that is polite helpful andaccurate
Answer questions provide accurateinformation and interaction with visitors in a manner that iswelcoming and encourages repeatvisits.
Engage with Volunteers and Interns ofEPZ to achieve Zoo goals.
If neededinvolved with producing videos taking photos and creatingmultimedia presentations used to promote the zoo and itsprograms.
Educate people to give correct foodsfor Animals to keep them healthy and also conducting Educators Talkabout Animals and Conservation to interact with the guests.(Thisinvolves Engaging with staff stations in Petting zoo area Monkeyarea Giraffe area Animal Paradise and Domesticarea)
Provide experiences for visitors toenable them to make choices about their impact upon the Environment. (Both positive andnegative).If needed help with any emergencyincidents relevant to Animals and People.
If needed help with the Animal Observations to keep animalshealthy
Requirements
Education
Qualifications  andtraining
Bachelor s degrees in Natural Sciences
education
communications zoology biology animalscience or a related field.
Excellentpresentation skills with the ability to adapt to audiences ofdifferent ages and learningabilities.
1.Ability to workoutside in all weather conditions and to stand and maintainalertness for long periods oftime.
2.Self Confidence
3.Excellentcustomer service skills andteamwork
4.Punctuality Professional appearance and manner at alltimes.
5.Ability tounderstand and follow written and verbalinstructions.
6.Able to work aflexible/changing schedule and daily assigned responsibilities.
Some evening weekend holiday work may berequired.
