Advocate at Dreams
33 Foundation
Provides direct support to students and families by guiding them in succeeding in college and the workforce, assisting with financial aid applications, facilitating college readiness, hosting success workshops, and representing the organization at fundraising and appreciation events.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, expected to be on-site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance to students and families regarding financial aid and college/career planning.
Deliver curriculum and training to students and families participating in Dreams
33 programs.
Manage an assigned caseload or targeted group of students.
Be present on-campus for student outreach and engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with school personnel, community partners, and families through meetings, workshops, and social media.
Participate in professional development, team meetings, and special events (sometimes evenings).
Maintain accurate files/data and generate program reports.
Travel within the assigned region(s) to schools, Dreams
33 events, and other locations.
Support and represent Dreams
33 at fundraising and appreciation events.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience in a client/student service position.
Proximity to the region served.
High professionalism, including promptness, preparedness, and appearance.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google applications, and Instagram.
Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn and self-reflect.
Effective team collaboration skills.
