IOCP is searching for its next Case Manager with a focus on early childhood and parenting in IOCP’s Caring for Kids (CfK) Program. CfK supports families and their little ones through provision of childcare scholarships to attend local daycare centers as well as wrap-around supports to foster 2 generational success during the earliest years! What is the work?
- Case Management including: building ongoing relationships with clients, supporting clients in reaching financial stability through financial review and budgeting, helping clients navigate crises, and empowering clients to create and follow plans to reach personal goals and improve stability. This role will connect clients to external resources, offer budgeting and financial assistance, and provide information and referrals, advocacy, counseling, and problem-solving support.
- Caring for Kids program administration and support. This will be done by engaging in continuous learning and using best practices to support young children and their families. Equip parents with tools to understand and support their child’s development. Support and empower parents to partner with their early childhood providers. Help colleagues to understand parenting and early childhood developmental challenges and identify them within their clients. Provide support to colleagues to connect their clients to parenting and child development resources. Collaborate with and refer to the embedded early childhood mental health staff. Regularly connect with staff from partner childcare centers and other community partners.
- Foster 2 generational success through coordination across IOCP programs to engage parents with basic needs and stability services as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to support participants enrolled in multiple programs, ensuring continuity of participant relationships and consistent service delivery. Participate in case management program and client review sessions and support continuous quality improvement.
- Administer rent assistance programs. Assess clients’ need for short-term rent assistance as a tool for increasing long-term stability. Determine eligibility and collect required documentation. Work with clients to make rent assistance plans and monitor progress. Facilitate rent payment requests and engage with property managers.

Required Work Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field
- 2 years of experience in a social services or educational setting
- Experience providing case management services to individuals and families
- Thorough understanding of the case management process.
- General working knowledge of human service, support, and educational providers
- Ability to creatively problem solve and complete complex tasks
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and within a team
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a steady, calm approach to work during busy times
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience providing case management services to individuals and families.
- Social Work license.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, Somali, or Russian
