Helping Up Mission, Inc. is a faith‑based, non‑denominational, Christian organization offering permanent solutions to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. HUM provides hope through programs designed to meet individual physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Compassionate and substantial residential care is given to almost 550 men and 250 women in need, without consideration of race, economic or religious status at its campus in East Baltimore.

Baltimore‑Based Position
Job Summary
The Donor Services Coordinator ensures the timely and accurate entry and processing of 56,000+ financial gift transactions each year. With primary responsibility for entry and processing of financial gifts, the Donor Services Coordinator’s work is central to timely and effective donor service, stewardship, and relationships.
Primary Duties
- Upload to database and enter gifts into Virtuous from lockbox (Truist Bank), website (Qgiv), and bank deposits, as required.
- Coordinate gift receipting, as necessary.
- Take gift receipts to work therapy associates for “Post It Note” signatures.
- Retrieve gift receipts from work therapy associates for mailing.
- Process credit card donations and enter new recurring credit card gifts in Qgiv.
- Archive lockbox gift paperwork as it arrives (daily) and remove stamped BREs for refund.
- Process, sort, coordinate and retrieve mail for HUM.
- Deliver cash and checks to Business Office Manager and gift receipts to Executive Assistant for Chief Executive Officer signature.
- Operate Pitney Bowes insertion machine (stewardship, folding for staff, new donor welcome packets).
- Provide administrative support to grants, stewardship, volunteer coordinator, events and leadership team.
- Assist with training on Virtuous CRM and HUM Philanthropy process and procedures for new staff.
- Train and retrain existing staff as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Exhibit the Core Values of Helping Up Mission, Inc.
- Demonstrated data‑entry skills and experience.
- Knowledge and experience with database concepts, Virtuous preferred.
- Collaborative working style with other team members.
- Proficient in computer usage, particularly Microsoft products.
