Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Donor Database Data Entry Specialist plays a key role in supporting fundraising operations by accurately managing donor records in the Raiser’s Edge database. This position ensures data integrity, consistency, and confidentiality, enabling the development team to effectively engage donors, execute campaigns, and achieve fundraising goals.
This role is responsible for the statistical accuracy and overall maintenance of the Raiser’s Edge system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and maintain donor information, including gifts, pledges, event participation, and contact details in the database.
Perform regular database audits, data clean-up, and resolve duplicate records.
Generate acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and custom reports as needed.
Collaborate with the development team to support fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events.
Ensure consistency and accuracy across all development systems and platforms.
Assist with data imports and exports related to email campaigns, direct mailings, and donor outreach.
Ensure compliance with applicable donor privacy and data protection policies (e.g., CCPA).
Support donor segmentation, prospect research, and targeted outreach initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive donor and gift information.
Contribute to ongoing improvements in database procedures and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with data entry and database management (Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred).
At least 4 years of administrative experience in a professional setting.
High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and gift processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive data.
Prior experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
