Donations Coordinator Jobs in La Grange, Kentucky, USA at Agape Shop

Main Objective:
Sort, process, track and distribute inventory of donated goods, collaborating with donors, volunteers, staff and other nonprofit organizations in accordance with the mission of the Agape Shop. This position reports to the Agape Shop Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Create a welcoming, kind, and professional atmosphere for donors, volunteers and staff.

Opening and closing of donation center building.

Provide training and support to volunteers on donation handling procedures.

Host and delegate tasks for volunteer(s) according to needs and abilities for productive/efficient workflow.

Allocate inventory to destinations based on needs and eligibility criteria (Agape Shop, other non-profit(s) or trash).

Utilize a database system to track and monitor inventory, create distribution/packing lists, and record inventory distributions.

Coordinate delivery of donated items to appropriate destination.

Adhere to both the Archdiocesan Employee Handbook and Agape Shop Employee and Volunteer Policies.

Other tasks as needed.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with donors, volunteers, and employees.

Strong organizational skills to manage donation logistics and inventory tracking.

Ability to stand, lift (up to 30 lbs), and bend throughout the workday.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in database management and point of sales software.

Basic understanding of non-profit operations and principles.
