Discipleship Pastor Jobs in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA at Evangelical Free Church of America
The Discipleship Pastor at The Bridge Church will serve in a full-time capacity, leading and supporting the church’s growth groups (small group ministry), providing leadership, guidance and pastoral care to group leaders and participants. He will implement and oversee the church’s disciple making pathway (within the vision of the elders and lead pastor). The discipleship pastor will also have a broad range of pastoral and equipping opportunities, playing a key role in the spiritual formation of the congregation.
This position reports directly to the lead pastor.
Qualifications
• Agreement with the EFCA Statement of Faith and the mission and values of The Bridge
• Exhibits consistent godly character as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
• A shepherding heart with a sincere love for people
• Strong passion for disciple making and equipping others for ministry
• Ability to uphold and abide by the church’s bylaws
• Skilled in worship leading and/or preaching/teaching
• Proven leadership experience in a pastoral or ministry setting
• Proficient with tools such as Planning Center, Google applications and Microsoft Office
• A loyal team player who values collaboration and cooperation
• Educational Requirement: A Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Commitment to serving in this role for at least five years
Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the church’s disciple making pathway, ensuring alignment with The Bridge Church’s mission and values
• Provide pastoral leadership to the Growth Groups ministry, fostering a culture of spiritual growth, discipleship and mutual support
• Occasionally lead worship and/or preach during Sunday services as needed
• Build and cultivate intentional shepherding relationships with church members to foster spiritual growth and community
• Oversee and invest in various volunteer teams
• Provide pastoral care in various contexts, including counseling, discipleship, hospital visits, weddings and funerals
• Eager to pursue licensing in the EFCA within two years
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead pastor
