Role Overview:
The Director of Talent Initiatives is responsible for the overall performance and direction of Lakeshore Advantage’s talent strategies and programs. This position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and works frequently with internal and external cross-functional teams, human resource professionals, education professionals, university leaders and other community partners to tackle talent challenges and overcome barriers to growth. This leader will help extend the best practices of talent development programs to established and emerging companies.
Hours: Full-time position (exempt).

Exceptional ability to listen to company talent challenges and identify opportunities and/or potential solutions to meet company needs

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, research, and elevate best talent practices, opportunities, events and resources to employers in Allegan & Ottawa Counties.
Lead development and implementation of overall talent strategy and manage ongoing talent efforts in partnership with K-12 schools, training providers, higher education partners and various other non-profit support organizations.
Lead development and facilitation of various Lakeshore Advantage talent-related advisory boards such as the HR Advisory Council, the Emerging Worker Advisory Board, etc.
Share talent opportunities through written, verbal, and electronic communication methods which may include giving presentations, contributing to newsletters, and hosting events
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, education, or related degree.
5+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following industries: human resources, education, business, workforce development, or economic development.
