About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Director of Operations to support and strengthen day-to-day organizational functions within a fast-paced, mission-driven nonprofit. This role combines client support, operational management, cross-functional coordination, and strategic process improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with technical aptitude, excellent project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound client support requests and oversee online support ticket workflows, ensuring timely and high-quality issue resolution.
- Assist with platform quality assurance (QA), feature testing, and product feedback initiatives prior to launches.
- Review technical documentation and API materials to help diagnose and resolve client issues.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to improve operational processes and client support experiences.
- Develop and maintain client-facing documentation, onboarding resources, knowledge base content, and written communications.
- Monitor operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
- Support marketing efforts through contributions to website content, collateral materials, social media, and customer communications.
- Provide operational and administrative support to organizational leadership as needed.
- Help manage escalations and rapidly respond to evolving client and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with political texting platforms, political email ecosystems, or related political technology tools strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a truly nonpartisan organization serving clients across the political spectrum.
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort navigating API documentation, technical systems, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
- Experience collaborating across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and managing time-sensitive issues and escalations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Washington, D.C.-based candidates are preferred.
- Writing samples will be required as part of the application process.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience.
