Role: Director of Marketing and Fundraising
When We Need You: 25 hours per week, variable hours
Duration: At least 12 months
Reports to: Executive Director
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of marketing and fundraising strategy, including goals and milestones
Implementation of strategy, focused on reaching key goals and milestones
Goal to raise a minimum of $300,000 in a 12 month period
Tasks may include:
Development and distribution of marketing and fundraising materials
Research on potential funding sources
Outreach and communications with potential funding sources
Finding grants and being involved in the application process
Event planning and execution
Event attendance and networking
Involvement in website development, social media, and other online marketing channels
Tracking leads and other data, reporting on that information, and maintaining accountability to follow through on those leads
Onboarding: You will be onboarded directly by the Executive Director in all aspects of your work.
Project Description/Context: HealEx operates free, mobile clinics that provide specialized care to over 700 sexually exploited and trafficked individuals in the Salt Lake City area and Dominican Republic. We provide free, primary care services, such as evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of skin infections, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, pneumonia, asthma, and mental health issues. The project began in 2018 and has grown considerably since then. This is a very boots on the ground, grassroots program that makes an incredibly direct impact for individuals. Our organization is looking to expand its impact by raising funds and recruiting top talent to improve and scale our operations. We need a competent, passionate individual to work with our executive director to develop a solid marketing and fundraising narrative and strategy, to communicate our important work to the world. We also need to broaden our network for recruiting and funding streams.
