Position Overview:Â
The Marketing Director will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing innovative strategies to drive user retention and community engagement. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of experience in the nonprofit, education, edtech, or arts and culture sectors and excel as a creative, solution-oriented thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Through strategic and innovative thinking, they will take an approach that is both data-driven and influenced by a keen sense of what delights Roundtable users.Â

Key Responsibilities:Â
Retention and Community Development: Design and implement strategies, initiatives, and events that enhance user retention, foster engagement, and build long-term loyalty, contributing to increased revenue and a thriving user community.Â
Performance Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance; use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.Â
Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with influencers and organizations to expand reach, enhance awareness, and strengthen the brand.Â
Trend Awareness: Monitor industry trends in arts, culture, and online learning to ensure offerings remain relevant, competitive, and community focused.Â
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging, consistent branding, and alignment across all marketing efforts.Â
Content Strategy: Collaborate with content teams to create and curate compelling content that drives engagement and fosters a sense of community.Â
Marketing Automation: Leverage automation tools to streamline retention campaigns and enhance personalization at scale.Â
Qualifications:Â
8–10 years of relevant marketing experience in the nonprofit, education, edtech, or arts and culture sectors.Â
Proven expertise in developing and managing subscription or membership programs, with a focus on driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.Â
Success in creating and implementing retention campaigns through email marketing and targeted advertising.Â
Experience leading community-building initiatives, such as ambassador or rewards programs.Â
Expertise in fostering engagement via platforms like Facebook Groups, Reddit, or Substack.Â
Strong understanding of retention strategies and community development.Â
Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think strategically and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Â
Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure, analyze, and solve business problems, delivering measurable outcomes.Â
Clear and concise communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.Â
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar platforms) to measure campaign performance and inform strategy.Â
Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies to support engagement and retention efforts.
