Position Overview:

Bishop Timon – St. Jude High School, a Franciscan Catholic college-preparatory school for young men, is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Director of Institutional Advancement. This individual will lead fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing efforts to strengthen the school’s financial sustainability and community engagement. The Director will work closely with school leadership, the Board of Trustees, and key stakeholders to advance the mission of Bishop Timon – St. Jude.

Salary: Commensurate with experience, with a general range of $60,000 – $70,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Development

Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaigns.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate sponsors to enhance financial support for the school.

Organize and oversee director of development and the fundraising events, donor recognition programs, and grant-writing initiatives.

Alumni & Community Relations

Strengthen engagement with Bishop Timon – St. Jude alumni through communications, events, and networking opportunities.

Develop partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and organizations to enhance the school’s visibility and support.

Manage and grow the alumni database to maintain strong connections with past graduates.

Marketing & Communications

Oversee the school’s brand identity and public relations efforts, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase student enrollment and community involvement.

Manage digital communications, including website content, social media, and email outreach.

Strategic Leadership & Administration

Work collaboratively with school leadership and the Board of Trustees to align fundraising and advancement efforts with strategic goals.

Prepare reports and updates on fundraising progress and donor engagement.

Manage the advancement office budget and ensure responsible stewardship of funds.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or institutional advancement, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

Proven success in donor cultivation, grant writing, and event planning.

Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Experience with CRM and donor management software preferred.

Understanding of Catholic education and a commitment to the mission and values of Bishop Timon – St. Jude High School.
