PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Hispanic Director is responsible for implementing a discipleship-oriented vision and pastoral plan for Hispanic Ministry within diocesan offices, parishes, schools, and communities. The role includes providing leadership, direction, and coordination of the Hispanic Ministry Formation Program. The Director will incorporate priorities from the “Final Report on the Diocesan Encuentro” and align the implementation of the Encuentro process with diocesan and parish leadership.
The position involves adapting materials, training, and seminars for effective enculturation of Hispanic audiences, providing consultation to improve engagement with Hispanic families, and assessing cultural and familial needs to ensure effective service aligned with the Diocese’s mission. The Director will also evaluate and establish partnerships with Hispanic Catholic apostolates, including the Hispanic Charismatic Movement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
Knowledge of Diocesan & Parish Structures/Procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge of Catholic teachings and practicing Catholic.
Experience with leadership, discipleship, and ministry formation.
Knowledge of Hispanic culture.
Strategic planning and action planning skills.
Consultation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and high integrity.
Organizational, supervisory, and performance management skills.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and trust within Hispanic communities.
Time management and program development skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to analyze complex data for ministry decisions.
Valid Driver’s License.
PREFERRED: Master’s Degree.
