The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC) seeks a Director to join their leadership team, reporting directly to the Executive Director. This role requires a minimum of five years in fund development, focusing on annual giving, major gifts, and grant management. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to feminist principles and anti-oppression frameworks to empower vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement DEWC’s fundraising and communications strategy
• Manage and lead the Fund Development team effectively
• Cultivate donor relationships for major gifts and grants
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
• Ensure alignment with DEWC’s mission and values
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in fund development management
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
• Strong understanding of women’s issues in the DTES
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and build consensus
Lead impactful fundraising initiatives with DEWC and contribute to empowering women and children in Vancouver.
