Role Description
This is a full-time role for the Director of Education Programs, located in Galveston, TX. SMART Family Literacy is an outreach organization requiring employees to work from multiple locations within Southern Galveston County. This position is for an educator experienced in communicating with learners of all ages and levels of formal education. The Director of Education Programs will be part of an early education team that reads and sings with children in classrooms, presents hands-on educational family engagement events, and trains early childhood educators. The Director will coordinate with educators, staff, and community partners to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the educational initiatives.
Qualifications
Program Management and Project Management skills
Strong background in Education
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Master’s degree in Education, Communication, Health, or Science field required
Experience in nonprofit or educational program management is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
