Director Of Early Intervention Services Overview
The Director of Early Intervention Services leads and oversees Melmark New England’s Early Intervention (EI) program, supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and severe challenging behaviors. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services and maintains strong partnerships with families, public schools, and referring EI agencies. The Director is responsible for supervising clinical staff, managing program operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and overseeing the development and progress of individualized treatment plans. This is a dynamic leadership position with a direct impact on clinical outcomes and family satisfaction.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis; Ph.D. preferred
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or board eligible
7–10 years of experience in clinical service delivery and supervision, including Early Intervention
3–5 years of experience in program management, staff supervision, and training
Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis and early childhood special education
Director Of Early Intervention Services Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between families, Early Intervention programs, and Melmark
Oversee BCBA and ABA staff implementing in-home, center-based, and community services
Ensure timely response to referrals and coordination of assessments, IFSPs, and treatment planning
Ensure compliance with documentation and billing timelines
Conduct or support functional assessments and develop function-based behavior plans
Monitor student progress through weekly data review and monthly team meetings
Conduct monthly clinics and ongoing parent training to support generalization of skills
Ensure curriculum and behavioral programs are individualized and aligned with developmental goals
Ensure compliance with DPH regulations and readiness for audits
Present at local and national conferences and contribute to Melmark’s research initiatives
