Position: DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT – ATMOSPHERIC & GEOGRAPHIC SCIENCES

The Director of Development reports to the Executive Director of

Advancement

for the OU Norman campus and will manage a portfolio of major gift donors ($25,000+) to raise funds for the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences. This academic unit includes fundraising for the University of Oklahoma’s School of Aviation, which is a top fundraising priority of the university’s Lead On campaign.

This professional works closely with fellow OU Foundation colleagues, as well as faculty, staff and administrative

leadership

across campus, to develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet fundraising goals. Goals and areas of focus for the Director will be determined by their assigned unit/team. Performance metrics will be determined annually by their supervisor in consultation with the Director pursuant to the OU Foundation’s annual fundraising goals and the university’s funding priorities.

Position requires up to 30% travel. Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of progressive experience in fundraising, sales and/or gift planning-related roles required. CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) preferred.
