The Opportunity
We are seeking a Development Director to lead our fundraising and philanthropic growth through our next exciting phase.
Working in close partnership with our external Development Consultant, CEO, and Managing Director, you will design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to anchor a multi-year initiative. You will manage all fundraising efforts, build a robust donor pipeline, secure major gifts and corporate partnerships, and champion donor stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Strategy & Growth: Design and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy, act as a front-line fundraiser alongside the CEO, and develop robust donor retention programs.
- Donor Engagement & Partnerships: Establish and manage a donor/partner pipeline, cultivate corporate partnerships, and spearhead donor events, sponsorships, and media opportunities using a highly relational approach.
- Operations & Collaboration: Oversee fundraising platform operations and infrastructure, provide financial forecasts, and create impactful reports for leadership and the Board.
What We Are Looking For
Experience Level:
10+ years of direct nonprofit fundraising experience, with at least 3 years in a senior fundraising role.
Education & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; strong verbal and written communication; exceptional organization, planning, and multi-project management skills.
Nonprofit Background: Demonstrated experience working for nonprofit organizations during growth phases.
Mission Alignment: A deep passion for Screen Sanity’s mission to equip families, paired with strong emotional intelligence and an eagerness to receive and respond to feedback.
Position Details
Location: Remote (primarily remote work with 15%-25% travel expected to Kansas City and other relevant sites).
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (30 hours per week can also be considered full-time where mutually agreed upon).
