ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates, develops, and implements activities for fundraising and marketing. Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately orally and in writing both internally and externally. Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately through electronic formats. Must possess knowledge of social media and its use in marketing. Must have the ability to lead and coordinate staff, volunteers, and Board members in event participation. Must be able to travel independently
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the organization’s goals and objectives.
– Manage and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and other stakeholders to build trust and cultivate new opportunities.
– Plan and execute special events to raise funds for the organization.
– Coordinate and oversee all aspects of event planning, including logistics, marketing, and sponsorship outreach.
– Recruit and manage a team of volunteers to support fundraising efforts and events.
– Execute email marketing campaigns and other promotional materials.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donations, events, and other fundraising activities in the organization’s database.
– Develop and manage the organization’s public relations efforts to promote fundraising initiatives and events.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience managing and leading a successful development program.
Must have a good ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Must have a good working knowledge of the rehabilitation/Easterseals field, including community programs, disability support groups, etc. Experience with the grant process is a plus.
Must pass background and MVR check.
