As part of our commitment to expanding access to care, we seek adynamicand people-oriented Director of Development to lead and execute our fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a talent for building strong relationships and a proven ability to secure philanthropic support. With a focus on cultivating meaningful donor relationships and securing major gifts, the incumbent is a vital force in shaping the future of healthcare for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies:
Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan, encompassing annual giving, major gifts, and capital campaigns.
Design strategies to attract and retain donors, ensuring adherence to fundraising schedules and goals.
Cultivate and Steward Relationships:
Build and maintain strong connections with donors, volunteers, corporations, and foundations.
Lead efforts to secure gifts and facility or program sponsor ships, including naming opportunities.
Donor Communications and Materials:
Draft and manage development-related materials such as newsletters, appeals, campaign collateral, proposals, and reports.
Database Management and Reporting:
Oversee donor databases and collaborate withleadershipto ensure accurate records and reporting of fundraising activities.
Grants and Prospect Research:
Identify grant opportunities and manage the full grant lifecycle, from research and proposal writing to reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of proven experience in donor cultivation, stewardship,strategic planning, and campaign management.
Demonstrated success in securing gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Expertise in grant writing and in winning grants appropriate for health centers.
Experience with major campaigns (capital campaign experience preferred).
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a people-first mindset.
Exceptional organizational skills andattention to detail.
Passion for philanthropy and strengthening healthcare in our community.
Ability to work independently while fostering acollaborative teamenvironment.
Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising software.
