Terrific Director of Development position with a Catholiceducationinstitution in the Washington, D.C. area providing K-8educationin underserved communities. The Director of Development will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies in line with the organization’s strategic plan. The position will manage the full lifecycle of fundraising from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing gifts from various funding sources including writing and submitting grant proposals.
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of relevant experience; time with a Catholic or independent school is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and a Master’s degree is a plus. This position operates fully in-office.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement fundraising strategies
Collaborate with the President and Board on fundraising efforts and an annual development plan
Provide the full moves management of donors and prospects including prospect research
Secure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
Write and submit grant proposals, provide follow-up reporting
Convey the organization’s mission of providing Catholic urbaneducationto donors
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant fundraising experience; experience working with a Catholic or independent school preferred
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred
Demonstrated track record of securing gifts and building strong relationships with donors and prospects
Experience securing funds from private foundations and corporations
Excellentcommunicationand relationship-building skills
Ability to work in a highlycollaborativeorganization
Salesforce or similar experience
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
