Director of Content, Volunteer
About the Pet Cancer Foundation
The Pet Cancer Foundation’s vision is to increase the life expectancy and improve the quality of life of pets diagnosed with cancer. Estimates suggest that 12 million dogs and cats develop cancer each year, which is roughly six times the number of humans diagnosed annually in North America.
As the organization continues to work towards the accomplishment of our mission, the PCF team includes professionals contributing virtually across Canada, the United States, and several other countries worldwide. While we work to become the leading information resource provider in the field of pet health and animal cancer, we’re searching for a Director of Content to co-lead our Online Communities department. That is where and how you can help us.
About the Position
The volunteer Director of Content leads the organization’s content development for PCF’s online communities. The Director of Content is accountable for directing approved content strategies that have been developed to fulfill the organization’s purpose of enhancing the general well-being of cats and dogs through education, information, and awareness of pet health and cancer topics to their families. As the department’s content leader, the Director will lead the oversight of content development and authentication, ensuring all published content follows the authorized style, tone, and standards of the organization. Maintaining regular engagement with their teams, while promoting teamwork and ownership of deadlines is a critical component of this coaching and mentoring role.
