As the Director of Client Finance, you won’t just balance books—you’ll balance impact and innovation. You’ll serve as a trusted strategic partner for charter schools and nonprofits, overseeing financial operations, leading a collaborative team, and ensuring clients are empowered to grow sustainably.
What You’ll Do
Serve as an outsourced CFO for visionary charter schools and nonprofits
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and audits
Lead cross-functional internal teams (AP, payroll, retirement, accounting)
Partner with executive teams and guide client decision-making
Build long-term client relationships built on trust, clarity, and results
Mentor rising finance talent and shape the future of financial consulting
Keep a finger on the pulse of charter school funding and financial regulations
What We’re Looking For
7+ years in finance/accounting (bonus if it’s with nonprofits or charter schools)
Leadership experience, including managing teams and driving strategy
A CPA or master’s degree? Awesome. If not, show us your rock-solid expertise
Experience with nonprofit accounting systems like Sage Intacct is a big plus
Strong communicator, self-starter, and a master multitasker
Passionate about helping others succeed—and ready to dig into the details
Compensation & Perks
$120K–$150K base + average 8% annual bonus
401(k) with 4% match
